Telecast of opinion polls violates code, stop them: Samajwadi Party

Describing it as an open violation of the Model Code of Conduct for elections, Samajwadi Party has filed a complaint with ECI demanding immediate and complete restriction on opinion polls being aired by news channels. Besides, the party has also lodged a complaint with the EC accusing BJP leaders and workers of violating the model code of conduct to campaign for the party in Kairana assembly constituency and other areas. SP has sought strictures against such events.
