Two men, Ganesh Chavan and Manoj Pawar, were arrested in Mumbai for posing as an IPS officer and defrauding a bank job aspirant of Rs 30 lakh. The accused, claiming links with top bureaucrats, threatened the victim with framing him in a case. Fake documents, including those with forged signatures of Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, were recovered. The police are conducting a sensitive investigation into the matter.
