1.8 lakh visas issued to Indian citizens by China in 2023

Over 180,000 Chinese visas were issued to Indian citizens in 2023 and facilitated travel for Indian citizens to China. The Chinese embassy in India implemented measures such as online appointment removal, fingerprints exemption, and temporary fee reduction to facilitate travel. The spokesperson hopes India will reciprocate by resuming normal visa channels for Chinese citizens, emphasizing the importance of mutual people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
