BJP rules out alliance with Akali Dal in Punjab; set to contest alone

The BJP on Tuesday announced that it will contest the Lok Sabha elections alone in Punjab and ruled out an alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal.Putting an end to speculation about a possible alliance with the SAD, BJP state unit chief Sunil Jakhar said "The BJP is going to contest the Lok Sabha elections alone in Punjab."
