First session of 18th Lok Sabha to begin on June 24

Parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Wednesday that the 18th Lok Sabha's first session will commence on June 24. The election of the Lok Sabha Speaker will follow the start of the parliamentary session. There is a noteworthy negotiation taking place between the Bharatiya Janata Party and its NDA allies. Typically, the Speaker is chosen during the inaugural meeting of Lok Sabha members.
