Former US President Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt, with the incident drawing comparisons to a 2013 bombing during PM Modi's campaign. Nine terrorists have been convicted for the attacks, with the sentencing scheduled for November 1. The plot originally aimed to target PM Modi with a suicide bomber but was thwarted by tight security measures.
