Controversy has arisen as the Congress' Kerala unit accused Bollywood actor Preity Zinta of a loan waiver from New India Cooperative Bank, based on a news report. Zinta refuted the claims, labeling them as fake news and clarified that she had repaid the loan in full over a decade ago.
