Election Commission clarifies concerns over duplicate EPIC numbers. What it means

The Election Commission has addressed concerns about voters sharing identical EPIC numbers, explaining that distinct demographic details prevent voting violations. Duplication stemmed from a manual process before the ERONET database integration. The EC will ensure unique EPIC identifiers for all registered voters, with ERONET 2.0 updating and rectifying any duplicates identified.
