Vaishno Devi landslide case: Court rejects FIR plea; calls incident 'natural disaster'

A Katra court has refused to initiate criminal proceedings against Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board officials following a deadly landslide, ruling the incident a natural calamity. The court stated that while administrative lapses may have occurred, they did not meet the threshold for criminal negligence or culpable homicide.
