UP forms SIT to probe cases against Alt news co-founder Zubair

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe cases registered against arrested Alt news co-founder Mohammed Zubair in the state.The team will be headed by an IG rank officer.On Monday, a district court in Lakhimpur Kheri remanded Zubair in 14-day judicial custody in connection with a case lodged by local police on the charges of “imputations and... public mischief” on social media.
