NewsClick rebuts money laundering charges in HC

NewsClick has argued in the Delhi high court that the money-laundering cases against them, linked to alleged violation of foreign funding laws, are malicious and should be dismissed. The news portal's senior advocate, Kapil Sibal, stated that the complaints were intended to harass and that NewsClick had not violated any foreign direct investment rules. Sibal also highlighted that the founder and editor-in-chief of NewsClick, Prabir Purkayastha, was arrested under the anti-terror law UAPA, and criticized the prosecution as being malafide.
